Judging Criteria

Each team will have the opportunity to explain their technical/business solution as well as the policy proposal. These will be judged by a panel of city councillors from the Oxford City Council, and experts from academia, business, non-governmental organisations, and the professional speaking worlds.

Marc Ventresca is an economic sociologist in the Strategy, Innovation and Marketing Faculty at Saïd Business School and a Governing Body Fellow of Wolfson College. Marc's areas of expertise include market and network formation, entrepreneurship, governance, and innovation and technology strategy.

Kate works at UK Innovation Foundation, Nesta. She is responsible for engaging the private sector in social innovation. She is on the advisory board of the Money and Mental Health Policy Institute and is a ZINC VC Mental Health Academy Fellow. She is also on the board of Oxford Citizens Advice.

Peter is a Senior Fellow with the Alliance for Innovation, a national network of city leaders and a special advisor to America In Bloom.

Sara is the CEO of Oxford Hub, the centre for social action in the city of Oxford. She is also a Research Fellow at the Centre for Youth Impact and has served as a trustee for various UK charities.

Kokulan Mahendiran

Head @ OxfordAgainstCorona | StudentsAgainstCorona

Kokulan is currently completing a Master's in Diplomatic Studies at Oxford University and is is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, an Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society, and a recipient of both the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers. He is Head of OxfordAgainstCorona.

Daphne previously worked at PwC in their Sustainability and Climate Change consulting team and is also part of the Future of Ghana Top 30 Under 30 Class of 2019.

Odhran is a DPhil student in Health Data Science. He is a NHS Clinical Entrepreneur and UK champion of the United Nations Hult Prize. He is a Co-founder of SkillsTree, an EdTech startup funded by the Department of Education's CareerTech Challenge Prize.
